Designed to be carried forward, each piece is made to develop character over time. Thoughtful care will help preserve its shape, finish, and function for years to come. The Ottoggi is made of Vegetable-tanned full-grain Italian Leather, accompanied by the Silver Hardware of your choice.
Avoid prolonged contact with cosmetics, perfume, oils, alcohol, and other chemical substances, as they may stain the surface or cause color transfer. Protect your piece from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture.
If the leather becomes wet: blot moisture immediately with a clean, soft, light-colored cloth. Do not rub. Allow it to air dry naturally away from direct heat. Avoid soaps, solvents, alcohol, and abrasive cleaners.
Marks & stains: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For light marks, use a lightly dampened cloth and allow the piece to air dry naturally. For most stains, gently clean with a soft toothbrush, lukewarm water, and a small amount of mild hand soap. Allow the material to air dry completely.
Store away from direct, constant heat and sunlight. Handle silver hardware with a clean, soft polishing cloth as needed.
Because each Ottoggi is handmade from reclaimed materials, natural variations in texture and finish are part of its character.

1849 was the year that helped define California as the land of opportunity. Dreamers, builders, entrepreneurs, and pioneers came in search of a better future—and many of them wore denim.
While the world often looks to New York, Paris, and Milan for fashion, California gave the world one of its most enduring icons: blue jeans. From the Gold Rush to today, denim has remained a symbol of hard work, resilience, and possibility.
The Forty-Nine Builders collection is a tribute to those who have the courage to build something new and the determination to see it through.
